Update and a few displays

So I went to the doctor's today, thinking he was going to tell me I have to be on oxygen...Thank God...NO! It seems my asthma is flaring up because I have a very bad acid reflux. Had no idea these are conneected in anyway. Well, dummy me has been sleeping in the chair in the LR and get up at midnight for a snack...PB & J...yep. As soon as I finish the hacking starts the shortness of breath the whole scenario plays out. So needless to say I have some major eating habits to change. He put me on meds for the reflux and still have more tests to run, but we are pretty sure that this is what has been making me so sick. Now the hard part...no more chocolate, caffeine, pizza, sauces.....and the list goes on and on. Oh and GARLIC! I LOVE GARLIC! I'm hoping that tomorrow morning finds me feeling alittle more normal (hubby dares to disagree)he would...he has this too! My other insentive is that I will lose that baby weight I put on 15 years ago!!!!! LOL....
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts...as I am not out of the woods yet. We are hoping so major damage has been done to my esophagus.

Now on too a lighter note....been stuck in the house with this for the past 3 weeks that I've tweaked and tweeked so more. Let me know what ya think.....

This is all the pewter that I've been finding at the thrift stores and flea market. I THINK I'm done now!

Hubby bought me these...love them!
The candle and strawberry are from Misi...aren't they wonderful? Love all her goodies.
Well, thats it for now...I have lots of other things to show you but I'll save them for another day.

  2. So glad they found the problem. My hubby has it and now since he has been on his meds, he can eat choc, pizza, garlic, and it does not bother him as much. He just doesn't eat it all the time. Are they sending you for an acid test and a sleep apnea test?

I love the way you decorated your displays.
    Hugs,
    Lynn

  7. Theresa, why is it always some foods that are so good and something we love to eat that causes all the problems. I too battle with reflux. But could have been lots worse. Hope this will get under control soon and you will be back to feeling great. Love your displays. I have a question. How do you know if it is genuine pewter or not? Are there special markings? I don't own any but thought an item I saw the other day at goodwill might have been. Have a great day.

  8. I didn't know that would cause asthma problems, I have had asthma for 35 years now, nice to know. Hope you get better, nothing worse than breathing problems. Mine seems to be under control now, been taking singular for years, no inhaler now for about 3 years. Love your shelf with the pewter, one of my favorite things to collect. Take care, Vicky

  10. Maybe you will get things settled down now. Although it certainly is no fun when we have to cut out things we like. Always makes me want to pout and head to my room! lol You did a great job with your tweaking, looks nice! Love the pewter!
