Thank you all again for keeping me in your prayers. I'm thinking I might have a hiatil hernia, but still have more tests to follow up with. This has been very scary for me when I go into not being able to breath. Seems my esophagus is going into spasms and not allowing air to pass. Not sure what I have in store for me...so please keep me in your prayers. Whils I've been stuck inside the house these past few weeks I've been doing alittle crafting.
Let me know what you think....
Made these prim/colonial soldier books. They are $3.95 each includes shipping.
Just leave me a comment or shoot me an email if you interested in purchasing. I do take paypal.
Have a great week friends and I will keep you updated on any results I get from the doctor.

Update and a few displays
So I went to the doctor's today, thinking he was going to tell me I have to be on oxygen...Thank God...NO! It seems my asthma is flaring up because I have a very bad acid reflux. Had no idea these are conneected in anyway. Well, dummy me has been sleeping in the chair in the LR and get up at midnight for a snack...PB & J...yep. As soon as I finish the hacking starts the shortness of breath the whole scenario plays out. So needless to say I have some major eating habits to change. He put me on meds for the reflux and still have more tests to run, but we are pretty sure that this is what has been making me so sick. Now the hard part...no more chocolate, caffeine, pizza, sauces.....and the list goes on and on. Oh and GARLIC! I LOVE GARLIC! I'm hoping that tomorrow morning finds me feeling alittle more normal (hubby dares to disagree)he would...he has this too! My other insentive is that I will lose that baby weight I put on 15 years ago!!!!! LOL....
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts...as I am not out of the woods yet. We are hoping so major damage has been done to my esophagus.
Now on too a lighter note....been stuck in the house with this for the past 3 weeks that I've tweaked and tweeked so more. Let me know what ya think.....
HUGS ♥*TThis is all the pewter that I've been finding at the thrift stores and flea market. I THINK I'm done now!
Hubby bought me these...love them!
The candle and strawberry are from Misi...aren't they wonderful? Love all her goodies.
Well, thats it for now...I have lots of other things to show you but I'll save them for another day.

Prayers needed..
It's been almost 3 weeks dealing with my Asthma. Well, this morning gave me quite a scare. Got up with hubby at 5 and immediately went into a serious attack. I was gasping for air that I thought I was going to die. Art held me for 15 minutes until I could get some air to use my inhaler.
Not sure why this is so bad. I do have lots of allergies to dusts and cats so that could be it. I haven't had any breathing problems for almost 2 years and now I have it soooo...bad.
I have a Doctors appt. later this morning so I'm hoping he can do something for me.
Please just say alittle prayer that I don't have anything majorly wrong and that my lungs will be functioning properly soon.
Thanks friends.

Dining room...almost completed...lots of pictures
I've been having so much fun putting things back on my walls in the Diningroom. So I can officially say my job is done at least till hubby can help do the floor and crown molding. Yeah, the ugly green carpet is still here but it is ready to be gone...just not sure when. Hubby will have to redo the floors and I don't think he is looking forward to sanding and sealing. Same with the crown molding more staining. I want it stained to match the window trim he made. And now for the big reveal.....This is on the top of my computer stand.
Doll from Blacksheep Lisa..LOVE HER! Got the stitchery at the Thrift Store..score! It reads "Guard me O God against every sin" Colors are perfect on it.
These cuties are from Sandy Schutt. Slave dolls...love them. It seems to me as I am looking at all the stuff in the Diningroom that I have filled it all my favorite things from friends...alot whom I have never met but it makes me feel all cozy knowing that there are such wonderful people out in the world.
Remember in one of my posts saying how I didn't like the crack down the back of the bowl rack. Well, creative me fixed it! I cut a piece of black scrapbook paper and taped it on the back and voila! Now I can't see the wall between the boards anymore! And to think I was going to get rid of this lovely piece...sure am glad I didn't!
Prints came from ebay...don't remember who made them. They came only on artist canvas so I framed them in inexpensive thrift store frames that I picked up for $1.00 for both. Gotta love those thrift stores!
This is where I was going to put the fireplace, but the kids got a new keyboard for their lessons so had to go here. I enjoy listening to them play while I'm on the computer. And it doesn't look half bad. I found some old hymn books that I have displayed on it when they aren't using it! LOL...
New/old chair that I fell in love with. This was a dear friends. Same lady that the spinning wheel came from.
This side of the room has a long closet cause this used to be a bedroom at one time. I really want to get rid of the closet but like hubby says where would you put all the stuff! True..true but the room would be bigger and I could bring my spinning wheel down from the bedroom and it would give me a whole other wall to decorate...and.....well you know how that went.NOT!!!
This little corner cupboard came from a local thrift store not sure if I like it here or not so I'm going to live with it for awhile and see.
This is looking into the diningroom. You can still see the ugly green carpeting.
Better picture of my bowl rack and all the goodies.
These are the new curtains I made. Fell in love with the fabric which I never would have seen myself liking this before but somehow my tastes have changed, evolved don't know exactly what happened.
So I hope you enjoyed taking a look at what I've been up to.
Have a wonderful week friends and stay cool. I'm stuck in the house with my asthma so I gotta find ways to keep busy. Now I'm working on the Livingroom...so stayed tuned.

Problems with blogger & a sneak peek at my Diningroom makeover
Grrrr....is anyone else having problems leaving commments again? I hate when that happens.
Here's a sneak peek at what I've been up to. Yes another project at the Ickes homestead. The Diningroom which used to be a bedroom when we first moved in some 19 years ago. I fell in love with this fabric and made curtains out of it.
This is what I discovered under the carpet. Love it! The carpeting will be coming up soon, but hubby wants to do crown molding so I'm not arguing with him. Then the floor will have to be refinished. Can not wait!
My paint color I chose is Valspar...Woodrow Wilson Putty. Got rid of the ugly green. If you don't remember it. Take a look at my previous post.
Hope everyone enjoyed the little sneak peek. I still have lots to do. Trying to decide if I want to move the fireplace into the Diningroom for awhile. Son thinks I'm nuts and hubby just seems to go with the flow anymore. He knows how I am after all these years. Afterall, my home is my canvas and I love making small changes that don't cost an arm and a leg, but do somehow always involve hubby's help...LOL!
I'm hoping tomorrow I will put some things on the walls for another peek.
Stay tuned.
