Tuesday Display Chain *Re-do*


Really wasn't going to post this little re-do after seeing everyone else's, but thought ahhhh...why not.
Here it is...

Got this little metal plate at the thrift store and it was the right size I needed for my shelf. I didn't like the color of it so I thought why not give it a coat of paint to make it look like pewter.

Put in its new home. I like how it turned out and it only cost me $1.50 for the plate and the cost of the paint. Woo hoo gotta love a bargain makeover.

Hi all, Lorna asked me the paint colors I used so here they are.
Folkart Steel gray
Folkart Metallic Silver Sterling
I picked them both up at Walmart
If anyone uses these on something Please post and let me know.
I am always looking for things to paint
Thought about trying these out on a picture frame.

  7. What a great idea, never would of thought about doing that. I love to collect pewter, but it can be pricey. Will have to look for metal plates. Vicky
