My new goodies!

I must have been a very good girl this week cause I got lots of goodies in the mail from great prim friends. I met many wonderful ladies on Webshots last year and its been great doing swaps with them. This lovely blanket crane was a gift from my BFF Robyn (Primlish)she was so sweet to send me this. I absolutely love it. Doesn't it look great against my cayenne walls?

Here's another picture of my hallway...hubby made the benches for me. I have a thing for benches...never can have too many cause they are great for displays.

Can you see the little bunnies in my metal basket? These came from Lisa (Blacksheeplisa) in a goodie box I got.
Aren't they the cutest? I want to put some eggs in the basket and some carrots but I didn't get my Easter things out yet.
She also sent me a stitchery pillow for Valentine's day and one for everyday.

!

What a cute little black candle light I got too! This is up on my shelf in the livingroom for now. Ignore that gray thing up there, it's hubbys surround sound...one of these days I'm gonna hide it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys the sunshine before the next storm thats coming next week. I'm going to look for goodies at the Thrift Store tomorrow and hopefully to the Amish. I'll let you know if have any luck.
Warm fuzzy hugs,
Theresa

Not much new to post this evening but thought I'd share a picture of my other window in the kitchen. These are the other coverlets I bought...I tried to get a good photo but the sun was shining alot that day. And I'm not complaining!!!

Did some crafting over the weekend between the usual household chores. And I cleaned my sons room while he was away at church camp....let's just say boys are gross especially teenagers!!! So now that his room is presentable I need to work on the Master bedroom. All the hunting stuff needs to find a home!!! Oh hubby if you don't soon put it away I will and then you won't be able to find it when you need it!!

I posted some new goodies on my selling blog too! So if you get a chance check it out and let me know what you think of my prairie bust ornies! I used a pattern from Jackie Schmidt that was in the Mercantile Gathering magazine. Now if you know me I don't normally use patterns so I tweaked it alittle and came up with my own spin on them.

Hope everyone is prepared for the next storm...stock up on that bread, milk and TP!!!Make sure you have lots of TP!!!
Big warm fuzzy hugs!

The critters play while we are away!

Last night was a busy evening here at the house. Luke had a band concert at 7pm and we had to have him out to church camp after the concert. Of course the snow was supposed to be coming and we wanted to get him to camp before it started...so needless to say we were running around the house at the last minute making sure everything was packed.

Now for the interesting part....Sable our Malamute was left in charge of the gerbils...We always tell her to watch the boys while we are gone...However tonight she either decided to take a nap on the couch or just wanted to get the boys into trouble.....

We came home around 10pm. and saw Sable on the couch. Hubby went back to the DR to put his coat away and discovered the computer screen was all white...so he called me back to take a look. Mind you we haven't turned lights on yet in the DR so we only have the computer lighting the room. I step into the room and he starts yelling to stop!!!!! Then he says turn around....well I have no idea what to expect! I turn around look down and there stands Digger looking up at me! Not sure if its a gerbil or a mouse I hesitate before I grab him! So now the fun begins!!! Remember I said the boys(plural)! So Izzy immediately looks in the cage for Chippy. NO CHIPPY!!!! Now mind you, we have been gone for 3 hours! So the frantic search begins for Chip. First place I look is the kitchen...and there he is by the garbage can...of course he runs away from me! So I tell Izzy to bring me the cage with Digger hoping to persuade Chippy back into his home. I slowly pull the garbage can away from the wall and there he stands...like what did I do? The cage is set on the floor in front of him to lure him in...but Digger decides he wants his FREEDOM and hops out!!! Luckily he didn't go far or he knew he was in for it cause they both jumped back into their cage. So now we go around the house looking for things they may have chewed....

This is my ottoman that they chewed...so far this is all I've found!!!

Oh and apparently our gerbils are smart cause they figured out how to open their cage all by themselves!!!!! And when I asked Izzy if she left the cage unlocked her reply was not me. He sure gets blamed for alot of things around here...do you think I can claim him as a dependent...I'm sure you all have a NOT ME at your house too. And as for Sable she will now longer be in charge of the boys!

Have a great day!
Warm Hugs...Theresa

do you like?

So what do you think of my new header? One of my bff sent me an ebay site that sells these coverlets that are rather inexpensive. So it arrived today already!!! Well when I opened my package I didn't know where I was going to put it. Then it hit me!!!! Why not use it as a curtain. So me being the resourceful person that I am...yeah I hear ya!!! I didn't want to ruin the coverlet by sewing it so I did the next best thing and got out.....clear packaging tape!!! You heard me! I used tape to make a hem so I could put it through the rod...it was a Wyle Coyote moment if ever there were one!!! Now I just need your opinions...should I keep it or take it down...I am leaning toward leaving it up cause one of my bff, Robyn said she likes it!!! Thanks GF! by the way check out her blog for a great giveaway, Primlish!!! Ends next week!!!

So after I finished the kitchen I moved on to the livingroom and decided to give it a try with the curtains in there...need opinions...not sure if I like it....HELP PLEASE!!

And finally here's a doll I made yesterday! She has joined all my other dolls and is making herself right at home on my kitchen shelf.
So girls lots of questions for ya! You see I want to order 2 more coverlets to cover the other kitchen window so I will be waiting to hear from you!!!
Big warm fuzzy hugs,
Theresa

kurtzy4 is the ebayers name for the coverlets
